Question 1441cc kit 3300 vs 4400?

Was looking at the kit and was woundering is having
"#SSR1441-2 $4410.18

Includes fully ported head + seals (core required) and 415 cams.
"
is getting fully ported heads + seals and 415 cams worth the extra $1100? What kind of difference will I see with that vs not getting it?

that makes the difference in making 190hp or 230hp... or better yet, winning and loosing. Run up on a well put together 1441 with a half cocked one and it'll be ugly.

He is correct we see it all the time when people want all the whistles and don't want to spend the right money on the CNC head work to make it all come together with a good set of cams.

Otherwise you have stock motor/bore bikes running with big bore bikes....

You are correct thats what happens fortunately installing a new CNC 5 Axis Radial Valve Job Head and a big set of cams-degreed only takes about a few hours. The I told you so always works after the fact. Sometimes customers need to see for themselves and builders keep building..

I wasn't thinking of your build.

Hmm....so are you saying that's what happened with a certain 1441...?

Its was not my bike, just built what I was paid to build on a limited budget and enhanced it after the fact. Sometimes saving money on the customers side just makes for double work. Thank God, I can build whatever.

MY personal builds or no budget builds get everything. They are presently the fastest in the BRAND (NOS/TURBO) in the world so it does right to spend the money the first time.

So did they decide to do the head/cams after the results...?

Limited budget, money gets better, what...?

Looks like he had plenty of money to me. He spent money on wheels, stretched arm, gipro, nitrous, GPR V4, etc. that didn't make the bike any faster.

So you are saying the owner didn't have anything done to the head but he spent money on ALL that other stuff....?

Took the bike to Maryland International Raceway for some testing, saw some members there. Foot shifting, with some serious power wheelies.... with a street tire @ 61" our test rider Cody Lowe ran a best of 8.77@162.33 MPH with an air shifter and a sticky tire there is plenty more. Just making test passes we made it to the semi-finals of street ET all while testing with dial in's at 8.80.....

how much quicker do you think it would go with an air shifter and slicks?

Cody does a bunch of grudge racing with 7.99 fast sportbikes. He is a straight shooter with remarkable feedback. If we left everything as is and just added an super sticky tire and an air shifter it would 8.57's 164-166 MPH all day long, then ride it to work in the morning. A 8" stretch would take rider skill out of it but the numbers would be even lower.

There are many options that can be added to this current package that would make the e/t numbers $$$ drop and drop...but for small money its a really nice set-up.

Just a mild hand port done on that 1441 nothing big at all....the next 1441 will have a pure CNC-Valve job and all with a set of moderate cams, the head should increase power by 15-22%.
