Hello All, does anyone know if the Ape Heavy Duty clutch drive plates and driven plates are supposed to be guaged in thickness and put in the order of factory plates, by that I mean specifically #1 and #2 driven plates in the manual on pg. 560. plate #1=.080 and #2=.090, all my Ape plates were the same thickness (give or take .0005). Any help appreciated! Bulldoggie |

aren't they a pain,I just chance my clutch on my bike 4 weeks ago and it runs sweet let me give you a tip, with those aftermaker clutches there is always going to be a problem in the long run trust me the original stock clutches are made specially fabricated for that type of bike thats why the have 3 or 4 diferent types of pressure plates because of the friction they recieved I used to fixed motorcycles for a living but don't do it anymore I have a nice office job but I tell you you'll never go wrong with the original parts it makes it easy to install no pains no worries is worth to pay for the original parts on the long run. god bless. |
