Default Re: Riding alone and crash? this scares me

The GPS feature on phones will do no good to locate a person in a timely manner. It would take a court subpoena to get anything for location based services from a phone company. Add that time to the required 48 hrs wait in most states before reporting an adult as a missing person.

The best thing you can do is tell someone you know where you are going, and roughly when you will be back. Include the route. I live alone, and often ride alone. I always tell 1 or 2 friends where, when, and how long. I include the route and planned stops. I call or text them if I get delayed.
