Default Which color is the safest?

Well, according to the latest MAIDS report, no a color has less accidents than others per se, but it seems that the colour white has in proportion more accidents than other colours. Isn't this a bit odd, as being more visible is supposed to be safer? Or maybe white is not as visible a color as I thought. Furthermore, for our class of vehicule (L3) Tuesday is the most "dangerous" day of the week with 16,1% of accidents, and Saturday is the "safest", with only 10,3% of the accidents. Tuesdays - why Tuesdays?

Because white is too plain. It doesn't register with the brain as early as other colors, green being the most visible.

Org myths aside, it has nothing to do with speed. The paint weighs within mg of each color.

People with certain types of color blindness cant see bright colors including reds, yellows, oranges, blues and greens. Bright reds look like black to some. ---including traffic lights. White maybe the safest color to wear! Color blindness is quite common with it affecting as many as 5 out of a hundred for some types of color blindness. For those that see bright reds as black--- that would be one in a hundred.

But why more accidents on Tuesdays? Monday, it's a new week, you comin back from the weekend's rest, your' alert. Wednesday your in the middle of the week, half is done, encouraging. Thursday, only one more day left, hold on. And then TGIF. Poor Tuesday, has nothing going for it really. Might be only because it's the lamest day of the week and our energy level is down. Or, this study was done in Europe, may be something different in the "week process" on the other side of the pond.

cant get much safer than yellow, but in that situation it would'nt matter because the driver is impaired and even if they did see you the reaction time is slowed down. i ride the pearl white 06 and it is pretty visible at night i assume yellow is too

Well mine was used in a statewide safety campaign in Minnesota and Florida. It was chosen because of it being the "most visible bike".

I painted it Bright yellow with black accents. Its base color is peal white. Along with it being chromed out. I do have to admit I rarely every have been pulled out in front of.
