    Default Saturday Race Results

I had a good time running Luci down the strip. Wish I would have been able to see what she could do in the 1/4 mile, but Luci's biggest handicap is her rider. Anyway, we all know the Pinky Winky won the night, but I'm curious how everyone did. Here's my time slip:

    R/T 0.15
    60 ft 2.29
    1/8 7.94
    MPH 101.9

Not too bad for a bike setup to run at Miller Motorsport Park.

    Here were my times.

I was running stock motor with 17/36 sprockets (my highway gears) and a PR 2ct tire at 15psi. Im going to have to go back next season with my 16/44 sprockets with a Shinko ultra soft and see where my times are.

    RUN DIAL R/T 60' 330' 1/8TH MPH

    1ST QUAL .000 .247 1.935 4.922 7.238 103.16
    2ND QUAL .000 .243 4.786 8.111 10.528 94.74 <<STALLED AT LINE
    3RD QUAL .000 .213 1.898 4.865 7.195 105.42
    1ST RUN 7.15 .185 1.917 4.879 7.181 106.48 <<<CLOSEST TO DIAL
    2ND RUN 7.15 .167 2.147 5.149 7.436 109.02 <<<MPH
    3RD RUN 7.15 .201 1.802 4.702 6.996 107.59 <<<BEST 1/8TH
    4RTH RUN 7.05 .112 2.097 5.129 7.431 108.36 <<<BEST R/T

I should have lost the last race due to the fact that I was 0.381 sec off from my dial in and Hal was alot closer to his. But the end result was that Hal was premature on the green light and red lighted in the finals. It would have been a very close race, but thats racing. Again very good racing by everyone.

I second that.. I really enjoyed it and didn't even get to race.
(You can't count the attempt on Shawn's bike. I smoked the clutch and blew the tire in the burnout box)

It was great to see some real first passes at the track. My number 1 tip was to leave the starting line like you would a stop sign. Captain had some very consistent passes doing that and never stalled the bike.
Silke running the pit bike class was a hoot! She ran a 16.73 and a 17.39 in her qualifying passes. We dialed he in at 16.73. In the first round of eliminations she takes off. This pass she decided to go into full tuck. Lit up the lights with a 16.11 and broke out. I think her comment when she got back was “what do you mean I went too fast, it was a race… How can you go too fast in a race?”
Lots of fun…. Hope to do it again next year!

Special thanks to Marsha (Thunder Valley Track Manager) and Mitch Brown (PMRA series owner) for letting us play!

It was a fun day, and I'd do it again. But I'm still hooked on the twisties. Its kind of funny looking at the last pic in my first post. Pinky's bike is lowered 4" and mine in raised 1"
