In title holding states, one has to do a "guarantee of title". This form states that you, the seller, will have a certain number (the usual is 45) of days to produce the title to the buyer or his lending institution. Since this will be considered a legal document, it will need to be notorized....should read something like this: I understand it is my resonsibility to ensure proper delivery of the title on the above referenced vehicle to (name of buyer if no lien, name of bank if financed) within 45 days from the delivery date of said contract. Also include the way the lien should read on the completed titlework as well.....sign and notorize. No sweat.
